The rolling hills between mid-Wales and the English border provide rich fertile pastures for dairy farming, and my doll Elin is depicted in the typical costume of a milkmaid. She wears the open-front 'betgwn' (bedgown) pinned back, an underskirt, apron, sleeve guards and shoulder cloth. Elin also wears an under bonnet of white muslin with a summertime straw hat. She has a beech wood yoke (a specially made miniature replica of a genuine19th example) with two large wooden buckets suspended on chains.Standing 14" high Elin has porcelain head, hands and half-legs. Her features are carefully china painted and she has life-like set in eyes and a soft brown mohair wig. With certificate Signed & numbered
