“I was born on Anglesey and closely identify myself with the island. I draw inspiration from my childhood and imagination to create works which reflect my Welsh heritage.
I must admit that the formal training I received whilst studying art at Bangor proved beneficial – whilst at the time I felt that it was laborious and time consuming. My work at the time was in heavy oils and pencil. This period was followed by two years spent in Milan travelling the length and breadth of the country studying the work of the Old Masters. A period in my life which gave me many enriching experiences”
