Clogau Gold is one of Wales’ most precious resources and was extracted from what was once the largest and richest mine of all gold mines in the Dolgellau gold mining area at the Clogau Gold Mine. There two types of Clogau gold, yellow gold and rose gold. During refinement, the reddish tint caused by copper is removed from rose gold to create yellow gold. Yellow Clogau gold looks identical to gold found elsewhere round the world.
